Review on ๐Ÿ“บ Waveshare 7 inch HDMI LCD (H) with Case - 1024x600 Raspberry Pi IPS Touch Screen Monitor + Toughened Glass Cover Case for Raspberry Pi 4/3/2/1 B B+, A+/Jetson Nano/Windows 10 by Fred Maki

The display is ok - doesn't quite work with the touchscreen on the Jetson Nano.

If you read the description, this works with the Jetson Nano AS AS DISPLAY. With the Raspberry Pi, it is TOUCHSCREEN-capable with the appropriate drivers. I can't comment on the Windows restrictions as I'm using Ubuntu 18.04. as alphabetic characters ON COLD BOOT - my password had to be changed to remove numbers. When logging in randomly, I noticed that I see numbers and special characters. But I can't hold it long enough to use the buttons. This is how I successfully log in after a COLD BOOT using the touchscreen. When the screen lock is on, I get a different login screen than COLD BOOT. This login screen does NOT show a virtual keyboard. I'm effectively locked out until I unplug the power cord and turn it off. In my opinion - as of March 3rd, 2021, the touchscreen support in Ubuntu 18.04 on the Jetson Nano is unusable - too incomplete for my application (mobile use in the car). Unless someone tell me what I'm doing wrong, I will install a mobile desk in my car with this 7 inch Waveshare LCD ONLY as a display and a regular USB mouse/keyboard to make it usable. .

Pros
  • Multi-language OSD for power management, brightness/contrast adjustment, etc.
Cons
  • Almost never
