Review on AMP Research 74814-01A Black BedXTender HD Max Pickup Truck Bed Extender by Christopher Karamba

Installs on a 2015 Dodge Ram Quad Cab (ie short truck bed of approximately 5ft 7in) with the tonneau cover fold down. The hinges and width of the bed extension cause the unit to bump against the tonneau duvet rails when rolled forward or backward on its upright. DO NOT adjust the width of the extension even to temporarily loosen the cover. Metal slides to open/close and then slide back into final position when needed. Do I have to use a rubber mallet to pry this extension off the hinges and then reinstall AFTER I've lifted the entire gate assembly with the tonneau open to fold the extension into a pickup bed or switch to extended mode again? , unaware of its design flaws. An engineer hasn't thought very long or creatively about all the pickup trucks that use trunk lids.
