If you just follow the "quick start guide" or guides you find on the web, it won't work. I sent the box back, Revain sent me a replacement. For the new box, I repeated the same steps as for the other one. Again, nothing happened even though I connected the device to three different monitors one after the other via HDMI. Just a black screen. I submitted a return form for the second box and started looking for another raspberry from a different seller. By the way, someone here asked via the FAQ whether the board was pre-installed. The answer was that you need to plug in a micro SD to run. It was weird that you plug in the card before you can get the display to work! If the micro SD card has problems, there is no direct way to find out. I figured since the Pi draws 15 watts I wouldn't be comfortable with the card plugged in all the time. As in the old days of DOS, a floppy disk must be inserted to use the machine. However, under DOS something was shown on the display even if the floppy disk was not present. I wonder why on 4GB they don't enter the code to bring up the non-SD display. So you must have the SD card inserted before turning on the board. I haven't fully tested the board, but even after configuring the board, the SD should already be in there! There may be a way to avoid this problem, but I don't know for sure. I can't get the board to play audio yet. At the very least, Revain should have listed these things in the product description.
