Review on CTA Tools 2670 Tensioner Compressor by Paul Philippe

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Allows you to recycle the timing tensioner without removing it from the truck (Probably the most painful event during the timing belt

Worked great on my 5fvze 3.4L Toyota Tacoma Didn't know you needed it first Remove the belt but once I found it works great Allows you to recycle the timing tensioner without removing it from the truck (probably the most painful event of changing the timing belt) To use remove the timing belt, between water place pump pulley (yes it should stay until this job is done) and the bottom idler pulley. Then turn with a wrench. When you have it good enough start poking a hole in the trunk with the pin from the kit .Slide once, then you can loosen the tool.I I had trouble pulling the pin back out after installing the new belt, so I used a sledgehammer handle to get the ak back, carefully separating the same pulleys to get this pin all the way in. Then remove the hammer and pull the pin to loosen the tensioner. I love the instrument!
