Time saver, great tool, use wrench to turn VERY SLOWLY

Works great and is worth the price. I would recommend getting this tool to enjoy your time if you don't want to completely remove the tensioner to press it. If you go this route, you'll enjoy the nightmare of reinstalling the rear turnbuckle. MAKE SURE YOU TURN THE TOOL VERY SLOWLY WITH THE WRENCH! If you hurry, you'll break the tensioner.

Pros
  • Designed for 1990 to present T100 and Tacoma and 4 seater trucks
Cons
  • Working Speed

Saves time, simplifies toothed belt work.

The ultimate hydraulic tensioner compression tool. Appropriate quality. Using this tool is the quickest way to install the timing belt on your Toyota 3.4 V6. Allows you to leave the accessory block on the block, leave the clamping block in place and squeeze it without removing them all. Very cool idea. Buy one. It's totally worth the time you save.

Pros
  • Masterfully designed and built to CTA Tools exacting standards
Cons
  • Reliability

Worked great on my 5fvze 3.4L Toyota Tacoma Didn't know you needed it first Remove the belt but once I found it works great Allows you to recycle the timing tensioner without removing it from the truck (probably the most painful event of changing the timing belt) To use remove the timing belt, between water place pump pulley (yes it should stay until this job is done) and the bottom idler pulley. Then turn with a wrench. When you have it good enough start poking a hole in the trunk with the pin

Pros
  • Design Features Internal Tool Extension Nut
Cons
  • Disappearance
