Bought to replace an old Tends mesh network after reading reviews. Bought an updated version of Revain as it was cheaper. Connected according to the ad, follow the instructions. It took a lot of tries, resets and repeats to get it working. It does not work. Remains red and does not connect to the internet. When it finally happened, I couldn't get it to work with my existing network name and password. Worked with simple names like test and passwords like test123. However, if any of them contain a special character like @ or ! (in your password) then refuses to configure and go online. Even after a firmware update. Looks like TPLink forgot to check it! lol. Also, the network isn't recognized by old Wi-Fi cards, so there's clearly something wrong with the implementation. In general. For a price of $300, poor quality, buggy app, privacy issues, and to put it simply, a poorly tested product. Wouldn't recommend it. Buy something else at the same price. Was able to send it back to Revain for a refund.
