It works well. It's pretty easy to install and everything is included. The basket is securely fixed, but can be easily removed if necessary. There are better pet carriers out there and there are better ways to transport things on a bike, but if you just want to use one thing to transport all your pets and things then this should suit most people's needs well enough. We had no problems with it and now we can take our dog on family bike rides which makes him happy too.
