Can work on level ground but definitely not uphill. Gravity just doesn't care, if they said it would work, it didn't. I'm under 1 foot tall by 40 feet long. I used PVC pipe per the instructions but the forces of nature just can't work in your favor. The result is a fluid exchange. Some water and sewage flows through the drain, but a lot of water ends up in the tank. The back pressure from the line rise is too great to overcome the "Venturi effect". Guess what? It won't come out until you run the outlet down a slope or until you disconnect the pump. Science really doesn't care how well the packaging has been advertised. If you try to push shit uphill, you're gonna lose. UPDATE: Before I sent it back I thought I'd give it one last try. Instead of putting the pump on with the outlet down as prescribed, I installed it with the outlet parallel to the ground. This allowed me to maintain the height of the hose at the end of the RV and reduced the back pressure issue. After setting it up the tanks were able to drain completely so I can say the product worked mostly as intended. There remains the problem of removing water from the line after flushing is complete. As soon as the water is shut off, the liquid remaining in the line is pushed back into the camper. Fortunately, this is pure water, so catching it in a bucket when you disconnect the pump is probably relatively sanitized. If you're pumping water into a container more than 12 inches above your RV's outlet, it probably won't work without a pump.
