Review on GTMOTOR AFM RA003: The Ultimate Fuel Management Disabler for GM Vehicles by Brent Walker

I am so pleased with this item that I can't wait to write this review. Having owned my 2015 Silverado 1500 Z71 with the 5.3 engine for over a year, this AFM blocker is the best thing I've done with it. Like many others, I initially found the AFM feature to be quite handy. A way to save some fuel. But while it's a consideration, are we really buying V8 trucks to go into 4-cylinder mode? Battery. After that, click the OBD connector once and then reconnect the battery. It took every 15 seconds. Don't be intimidated by the simple one-page packaging and instructions. That's all you need. I stopped blinking and continued with the test drive. Freeway speeds or moderate to heavy acceleration have never been a problem. My complaint was the switch to the 4 cylinder engine when driving through the 20kph areas where I live or when trying to accelerate cautiously after stopping at traffic lights. Then the AFM made that annoying pop out of the exhaust, the habit of doubling behind the passenger-side rear wheel, and there was a lag in acceleration. Never! It got better. Drove down the same road where it ALWAYS went into half engine mode but this time the display showed the V8 was always active. It retained the raspy sound and actually accelerated better at low speeds before I needed more acceleration. Like I said, I felt the difference immediately. Now for the skeptics. I've come very close to getting a Range AFM many times, but could never bring myself to spend $190 or so on a situation that I thought "might work". I found this one and after reading many reviews I decided to give it a try knowing that if it didn't work I would return it and then buy a more expensive one. I don't care what brand it is. My only concern is that it was about $60 cheaper than everyone else and it works exactly as it should. If it doesn't work I will update this review. For now however I am very pleased and will tell everyone that this was the fastest apparent improvement in my performance other than working with a custom program or a new set of pushrods, camshaft etc. Take it or leave the blue light on mine Leg. I don't really care, so I'll probably cover the LEDs with duct tape.
