I used Permatex 56521 High Performance Thread Sealant to install a water separating fuel filter assembly on my boat. Permatex effectively seals all four joints. Many thread sealants can simply prevent gasoline from leaking out. What makes Permatex high performance thread sealant special is the assurance that little bits of sealant will not work loose over time and end up clogging carburetor jets or fuel injectors like Teflon tape does.
