Ever since I bought my Honeywell HCM-350 from Revain, I've stocked up on these little things too. I use a humidifier every night, so I change the filter monthly. Whenever I change my filter, I also add a new one. Honestly, I'm not sure how easy it is to say how effective they are, but since I use a humidifier every night, I love the idea of the air and water circulating in my room being as clean as possible possible to keep . They're a bit pricey for monthly use, especially if you also change your filter monthly. It costs about $10 for a filter and $5-$6 for each, which works out to $15 a month for a humidifier. If this seems bothersome, you should definitely consider a cheaper humidifier that doesn't use filters. The air quality might not be that great, but if you're only concerned about humidity, this might be the best option.
