They cost almost nothing. I've tried using them a few times because they're so easy, but you're wasting the same amount of time in the long run because you have to clean your humidifier more often. Just take one of the liquids each time you add to the tank, they are MUCH more effective. That's if you don't like watching brown shit grow on your filter and your house smells like swamp after a few weeks of use. .

Let me start by saying I LOVE this product! I keep cool humidifiers in each of my boys rooms and usually use them year round (my eldest has had dry skin in the past and it seems to help a lot).
