The filter was fine. The spark plug is not suitable for the specified application. Basically it is an uncross referenced imported spark plug. I ended up going to an auto parts store to spend the extra $2.50 on a connector. The carburetor was correct for this application. However, I ended up having to remove the chamber and reinstall either the float or the needle and seat because they were not providing the proper fuel flow. This may be due to shipping or assembly. Overall, I should have just bought a gasket kit for my current carburetor and rebuilt it myself. The filter and spark plug are cheap enough, two sources exist. live and learn
