Mower starts reliably from the first pull after the first start. Complete set with all gaskets, primer bulb and new spark plug.

All components are installed and the mower runs like new. Everything fitted as it should, although the carburettor looked a little different. It was a great price and the old mower was worth scrapping. I highly recommend it.

I ordered this kit because it included not only a carb but also a spark plug and a few other things. I removed the old carburetor and plugged in the new one in minutes. I changed the oil to 5W30 (as recommended by Briggs and Stratton) and put in fresh gas. I hit the fill button four times and the mower that had sat in my shed for two years because it wasn't working started on the second pull. Literally the second boost.

The filter was fine. The spark plug is not suitable for the specified application. Basically it is an uncross referenced imported spark plug. I ended up going to an auto parts store to spend the extra $2.50 on a connector. The carburetor was correct for this application. However, I ended up having to remove the chamber and reinstall either the float or the needle and seat because they were not providing the proper fuel flow. This may be due to shipping or assembly. I got this kit mainly for the air cleaner, primer ball and the gasket between the carburetor and air cleaner. I cleaned my old carburetor so I figured it was good enough, but honestly I didn't think the new carburetor was going to be as cheap as it was. But I tried it and it fit and worked great.
