Although I knew it, this thing is over engineered and trying too hard to have too many features. I don't need another timer. He doesn't have to tell me what temperature is right for beef. All I want is for it to tell me the temperature, and while it's doing that its display is cluttered with a bunch of other useless data. Worse, it's slow. I didn't time it, but my other digital thermometer, which was cheap, was significantly faster. I bought this because I wanted a digital thermometer that could be mounted on the side of the pot.
