Worth knowing about the hardware

Although the setup for this one looks great and is definitely a lot better than the other type, I tried where the spring was on the previous one, it's nice that that's tucked into the post They drill it so the spring doesn't get tangled. However, the stopper at the end of the cable and the instructions for it are very poor. The stop you are using has a small piece that the cable goes through that is barely enough for the cable. So if you accidentally scratch the cable's plastic cover, good luck getting it through the hole. Once you've done that and start tightening the screw to fully secure the cable, you can twist it 1-2 turns before it won't go in anymore. This means you end up with a screw hanging more than halfway from the end, which looks very bad from the outside. I'm not sure who came up with this design, but the screw itself should be about 1/4 inch shorter, at least so it doesn't appear like the screw is coming out. The actual screw used in this entire kit is REALLY made out of very poor quality materials. and you must be very careful not to tear them off or ruin the screw head. They appear to be made out of lightweight aluminum or a metal pot and have ZERO durability. Be prepared to have some other screws that work as you will likely mess up one of these, particularly the one that goes into the cord stopper, which has credit for the fact that this one hides the actual spring mechanism so it doesn't get damaged like some do is the case for others.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Long delivery time
