Review on 🚗 RAM Mounts RAM-B-316-1-202U Vehicle Mount with 18 Inch Aluminum Rod and Round Plate, Compatible with RAM Devices by Marcia Wilson

I have this linkage with a RAM Mount X-Grip III (RAMHOLUN9U) universal clamp mount and installed it on a 1996 Land Rover Discovery but it wobbles A LOT. It's okay to casually glance at Google Maps while cruising down the freeway, but if you're driving down a dirt road or trying to drive off-road you won't see much without a headache. I've noticed that the mount itself is solid, but the aluminum bar sits oddly at the base where it holds tight and tight in one position, but it will twist out of position and appear loose even when it's as tight as it can be be. I am thinking of replacing the bar itself with something more durable and see how it goes. I noticed that bending the bar was fairly easy and yet all the reviews I've read say otherwise and how strong it is. I'll try what FH Van Unen said and put in a foam wedge to cushion the wobble and see how it holds them up. I will update the rating when it gets better.
