3 layers and non-slip? nope

These mats are described as being made like 3D MAXpider mats, but at a much lower price. You are not. No foam middle layer, no non-slip backing, just a molded layer, fairly rigid rubberized plastic mold with a textured surface on top and a smooth surface on the bottom. The smooth underside can be non-slip if you place them on a piece of dry glass, but on the carpeted floor in the Model Y, they slide and slide easily. However, they are quite well trimmed and tucked away so they don't move much despite the slippery floor. They're fairly thick and strong, easy to clean, and should last a long time. The driving position isn't perfect, but it's good enough. The passenger seat and rear seats fit fairly well. They're not bad for the price, but if you're expecting a true three-layer design with a soft foam interior and velcro stickiness like the MAXpider mats (which this description is clearly trying to emulate), then they're not. However, if you just want durable, decent looking and fairly well fitting model Y floor mats at half the price of another brand then these should suit you. 3 stars for the overzealous product description.
