This is a great alternative to a bulky U-lock or easy to cut cables or chains. It easily attaches to your frame with sturdy Velcro straps. It took longer to get it out of the box than it did to attach it to my frame, put the key on the key ring and walk out the door. I found the connections between the links quite rigid which made folding and unfolding difficult. But the key mechanism works great and this model is just enough to attach my bike frame to the bar. In fact, this is not enough to simply secure the frame and wheel.
