Burned out the old block in the computer. The current prices for branded blocks are horrifying, I’m not ready to give so much for the resuscitation of an already quite old 4-year-old computer. I chose for a long time among 500W blocks, since there was a limited amount of money, and I didn’t want to take something that could immediately burn out or work like a helicopter. What's funny is that Cougar did not consider it at all, as I read in some review that these are very low-quality blocks. And when I almost gave up hope of finding something sane up to 3 thousand, since even the same Chieftec and FPS do not shine with quality for this money, I came across a review of a block from Cougar, though an old model that is no longer for sale. But it became clear that this brand is not as bad as they think. Then I read forums where they are even recommended, if you choose from the economy segment. I decided to take a chance and take it, although there are no reviews for this particular model. The first thing I want to note is the decent packaging. Everything is as it should be, a cardboard hard box, bags, pieces of paper. The kit includes a network cable and screws for attaching to the case. And this is now becoming a rarity in the cheap segment. The length of the wires was enough for the eyes, including up to the screw, which stands at the very bottom of the block. For someone minus that only 2 molex'a. I don't need them at all. But SATA already 6 pieces. Braided wires! And this is now also a rarity in the economy segment. Plugged it in quickly, no problem. The moment X has come, I turn it on - the computer and silence . not in the sense that it did not turn on, but that it works quietly. I was really afraid that it would make noise, as many owners of cheap blocks complain about this. I think that for the money just a great option. If there were detachable cables, it would be absolutely wonderful. Of course, I don’t have illusions about real 600W, they most likely don’t exist, but I also looked for 500W, but I’m sure they exist. Maybe it's too early to rate, but if something goes wrong, I'll add a review. : I just came to write that 1.5 years have passed. With BP everything is fine, no surprises.
