Let me get straight to the point. This light is actually honest in its lumen claim. That's really close to the advertised 300 lumens. Others claim to have 800 to 2000 lumens but don't get more than half that. Another good point about this light is 300 lumens, which doesn't really decrease by much, while the other highest settings will automatically dim to less than half of full brightness after a few minutes when that's the case. The beam pattern of this flashlight is wide and more like a stream, but still has a short range. The Nitrider Lumina 900's high settings are about average, which is very good for this price point. That the taillight is rechargeable compared to coin cells is a big bonus. For avid MTB riders in the woods, this would be a good helmet light or replacement light.
