It cuts out about 50% of San Diego's sunlight, and you can sit under it on days when sitting outside of its cover would be unbearable. He transformed the patio for $50 and put in half an hour of his time. It has survived the summer and doesn't seem to be showing any signs of wear. Great product and even better price. Don't waste your time with those expensive sunscreen rolls that cost four times as much.
