I'm sending this junk back. Not only does it not work at all, it is also dangerous. I am not new to trading for 5 decades. Tried using a 6" hole saw. I couldn't get the hole saw to connect securely to this mandrel, but I pulled the threads as tight as I could and then pushed the anchor posts into the hole saw. It cut through, so worked the hole only slightly..There is a great danger when you lift the hole saw out of the cut hole.Usually the hole saw is still spinning when you take it out of the hole, so it comes out easily and won't get stuck.Pull with this mandrel pulling the hole saw out of the hole as it rotates causes the saw to detach from the shaft and fly where it wants to go.I was lucky I didn't lose my finger or worse and didn't damage adjacent surfaces.Bought because it's advertised as being easier to take the hole saw off when it's done, anyone with experience knows this can be a problem with a traditional gazebo, but this piece of junk isn't ht the answer unless you want to hurt yourself or cause harm.
