Bought this film to cover the glass door and window in my laundry room which is easy to see for the neighbours. (Pah.) After "installing" the slide, I'd say it definitely does the job. Which I am very happy about. It just doesn't look very good. The small window was easy to close but the door was a problem. The instructions say to cut off a piece larger than the actual item to be coated and then cut it off. i did this The problem is that this film sticks directly to the surface of your item and won't move. So, after finally aligning a side that I know is cut straight (you really should REALLY place the grid on a film backing that you remove before installation), I cut it. It's a pretty hot mess on the one hand, and no matter how many times I've reconfigured. Just plan ahead and you'll end up with something that looks pretty good from afar.
