Fits my purpose

I received this item last week to use with an indoor cat which is sometimes very difficult to find even indoors. I read about Pet Finder products. I immediately ruled out the ones that cost over $100 and found that I didn't need a GPS (nor did I need monthly payments) since they were for indoor use only. I liked the low price ($20) and the fact that it works with an app on my iPhone. There are two problems with using this: First, the keychain may be smaller than some, but it's still quite large for a small cat. She has now tolerated that. Second, the accuracy leaves much to be desired. How much. In the same room as the cat, 60' testified (the room is not that big). When I came down and held my iPhone right up to her bushy tail, it still reported 12 feet. I concluded that the distance estimates are so unreliable that they can be neglected. I *can* use them to indicate if I'm getting "hot" or "cold" when looking for a cat. And for me that's good enough. If the distance estimates need to be more accurate maybe someone from the company will let me know and tell me how to fix it. In summary, for $20 it was fun to play with and can be useful with relative use. *** A few months later. It was so unreliable that I gave up and went to another "Find" app instead.
