I either do it right or I don't do it at all, but GM's idiocy is too strong. On the Suburban, the relay is located just in front of the spare tire, in the center of the car, on top of the controller. They mounted it with two screws from the top, so you can NEVER just swap the relay from under the car, EVER. To remove the original relay you will need to pull out the controller and all the brackets so you can access these screws. A simple alternative is to simply unplug the old relay, plug in the new one, and re-tie it to the same bracket. . If you do, then work for 5 minutes.
