Review on 🧁 KitchenAid 6-Cup Mega Muffin Pan, Silver - Nonstick Aluminized Steel by Brooke Nelson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Heavy pan with excellent non-stick coating

This is a nice large muffin tin. Cupcakes don't stick to it, it's easy to peel, and it's heavy enough that I'm sure it won't warp (although I doubt I'll ever use it above 400 F). I cooked a few pumpkin banana muffins in it and they came out evenly cooked and not too brown (some nonstick pans seem to make things really dark even when I regulate the temp for the pan). The muffins came off easily (although I used a little baking spray out of habit) and the pieces that crumbled around the edges and turned dark were immediately wiped off with a rag - I didn't even have to wash them. (but I of course). It's a good frying pan, and overall I like KitchenAid, but I really wish it wasn't made in China, especially given the research on how toxic nonstick coatings can be. It's very hard to find US made nonstick pans at a reasonable price, so this is a solid choice if you need something at this price point. As I don't use a large cupcake pan as often as standard sized pans I don't want to invest in a high quality pan so it's a good compromise between a quality pan from a trusted brand that is still on sale today. at a reasonable price. I would order another.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Thin
