: Getting it to work with WiFi was easy - it just reinstalled WiFi. I just spent 5 hours on the phone over the course of two days getting this modem to work with a Macintosh. Much of this was of course due to the wind current. But prepare your vpi, vci, username and password for your account for ppoe network protocol accounts. And if you don't know your network protocol, learn this. No automatic setup for Mac. And I had to call Wind Stream three times to find someone who knew what I meant when I asked for various pieces of information. DLink made things even more complicated by also saying to look for "connection type" instead of "network protocol". At the moment the modem works with the old computer but not the newer one, and doesn't work with Wi-Fi, although the Wi-Fi firmware may need an update - this is for today or tomorrow since I'm really tired from all of this. I did four runs anyway as most of the problem was wind related, but the directions were able to tell me what to look out for while running and bad network protocol terminology caused a problem.
