I understand what other reviews meant.
When I read reviews about it scratching floors I was confused and ignored it but now I get it. The black part at the top will scratch the floor because the mop doesn't open fully, so the black part always has a real mopping pad. I know that description is weird and nonsensical, but that's all I have. Normally when you mop you can press the mop to the floor and it forms a circle, right? It's not like this. It's always a rectangular shape that doesn't add cushioning to the plastic piece if you step into it with some elbow grease.
