I have these cheap plastic framed dog doors at home that were in them when we bought them over 10 years ago. Not pretty. Nothing fantastic. Actually not nice. But they still work. This door is much nicer. Looks beautiful. When we installed new doors in our house 4 months ago I decided to spend a lot of money and buy the highest quality door I could find, but the rubber latch broke after about 4 months of use. The photo shows the flap is held in place by 3 small attachment points which will fall apart in just 4 months. What good is a beautiful door with a shiny, strong frame if the leaf breaks off after 4 months? And I looked at Revain for a way to contact the seller. Maybe with this review I'll catch their attention and they can tell me what to do. I hope they don't send me a new one if it hasn't been reverse engineered. Now there is a chance that this will not happen again in the next 4 months. EDIT HERE. I called the company. They admitted that the door was defective. The flap has been redesigned. They send me a new remanufactured valve. I found their customer service helpful. I will edit the review when I see the new patch. I will send a photo of the new shield to be reinforced with metal at weak points.
