Very easy for my giant dog

I have a giant wolfhound and he loves it. I installed it professionally so it was easy, write me a check! In windy weather it could stay closed a little better. Mine is in an area surrounded by 4 buildings and the clicks when the wind blows are confusing. I'm more used to that. Overall I would give it a 4.7 out of 5.

I love this dog door!

We installed a new door and I added a dog door for my dog even though he is only 40 pounds. We may add another four legged family member later (we want a large breed dog) so we ordered a larger size. just in case! The door arrived quickly and was easy to assemble. My dog likes the easy access outside and I like that he can get in and out easily. Behind it, the sash closes securely. Looks great!

Not worth the money

Installed this door in early September. A little over 4 months later the plastic door broke off and when I tried to fix it it got stuck on one side so my two small dogs couldn't open it. We have a medium sized Aussie so I spent the money on a large door. He has no problem opening the plastic lid but I'm afraid he'll break it because it's still sticky. Poor quality if you ask me.

Received without hardware

Tried to install today but rivets and screws were not included. Now it's only held in place by silicone. In trying to contact the seller I will update the rating if/if I get a response. Also, the instructions call for the use of release clamps to hold the frame firmly to the door for 2 hours. I did this and the trigger held the valve up and now that the clamps are off the valve will not close properly. Let's see if it goes smoothly again.

Good product missing hardware

The door itself appears to be in good condition and the installation was easy. I couldn't find the hardware in the box so I had to use what was handy and it might not work as intended. Also, I miss the handle for the security plate which I would like to have as insertion and removal without a handle is possible but not optimal. In the company's defense, I had time to come forward and ask them to send me a hardware package. You might be willing to do it

Cold weather not working in door

We've only had this dog door about 5 months and the door part has already failed. The photo shows what material the plastic is torn from at the attachment points. Temperatures dropped below 20 degrees at night last week. It seems to me that the cold could make the material more brittle. I bought this door because it looked solid and will hopefully last a while. Unfortunately it isn't. I hope I can only replace the swinging door and not the whole piece. I had to give that 1 star because the door

Installed in a paneled door

This is a solid and well made product! Our old Beagle mix was initially opposed to the idea of using this, she just scratched the valve until someone opened it for her. She eventually learned to push it and see it through. I think the viewing window on the valve helped her see through and gave her confidence. The flap prevents the ingress of outside air very well. The door I installed it in is a wood frame door so after cutting it out I had to frame the sides and top of the opening. The frame…

Do not buy for dogs

The lid only lasted a few months. It broke off at the top and is now only half connected leaving a huge gap for weather/bugs etc. enter. Very similar to the other review, except the reviewer thought it might be related to the cold climate; However, we live in a very hot climate and the same thing happened. Most frustrating, however, is the fact that this is an "OLD STYLE" door and the company no longer makes "Old Style" replacement doors. And the "new style" doors are not compatible with the…

BEST and Worst Dog Door

I have these cheap plastic framed dog doors at home that were in them when we bought them over 10 years ago. Not pretty. Nothing fantastic. Actually not nice. But they still work. This door is much nicer. Looks beautiful. When we installed new doors in our house 4 months ago I decided to spend a lot of money and buy the highest quality door I could find, but the rubber latch broke after about 4 months of use. The photo shows the flap is held in place by 3 small attachment points which will fall
