Because this filter is designed for 5-8 gallon Shop-Vac vacuums, I use Shop-Vac Standard Filter 9066100, 3 pcs. designed for medium filtration. The manufacturer of this product does not specify the level of filtration that their product is intended for. Suffice it to say that this allows Revain buyers to give the product stellar but less qualified reviews. My purpose for using a medium filtration filter bag is for dirt like metal shavings, heavier sawdust, sand and other non-airborne particles. Collection. I use them for security reasons. The current price (as of 8/14/15) of this product is $7.69 for 3 filters. You may want to consider Shop-Vac's Shop-Vac 90661, 906-61 9066100 Disposable Collection Bag for 5-8 Gallon Vacuums 5 Bags Per Pack 5 Packs for $8.95 which is a better deal and offers much better filtration . My issues with this filter are: 1. This filter offers less average filtration than Shopvac Model Shop-Vac 90661, 906-61 9066100 Disposable Collection Bags for 5-8 gallon vacuums 5 bags per box. So if you're just using filter bags for ease of cleaning, that's fine, but don't rely on them to protect your lungs. I see other sellers comparing these bags to high efficiency Shop Vac filters as a viable alternative, which is gross misrepresentation and misleading. You SHOULD NOT use them with any type of fine dust extraction.2. The filter rubber band o-ring does not hold as tightly as the Shop-Vac trademark on the vacuum inlet (it can be taped in place).3. The filter bag tore at the seams and dust clogged my much more expensive cartridge filter (never experienced that until I used this bag). I am giving 2 stars because in my experience this is not a quality product. I didn't give a star because you can still use it for bigger junk if it doesn't let you down.
