Review on πŸ”’ Abus Bordo GRANIT X Plus 6500/85cm - Ultimate Bike Security with Folding Lock - Black (Level 15) by Brian Rivenbark

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Saved me from buying a new bike!

I bought this lock a few months ago to feel secure when storing my bike at uni during class. Today it paid off. The thief has been working on it for some time. I shifted my bike a bit and bit off pieces of plastic; even slightly bent. Gave up and stole my saddlebag and lousy pump instead. Wish I could see it in action, could give a great review from Revain for a 5 star salt based membrane cavity cleaner. Enough parody. who like to be tricky with their bike racks. U-locks can be tricky to use on abstract objects, and this folding lock is the perfect workaround. I was skeptical at first, so I spent an unhealthy amount of time researching reviews and stress tests. The only tool that disabled this device was a disc sander. The locking mechanism hasn't been revealed yet, but it appears to be more hardened than most. The main button has a blue LED, which is very convenient. It takes some practice to get used to how to position the entire chain when folding it back on itself as it isn't as flexible as a chain. This is the perfect length to get around most standard bike racks with little clearance. This lock comes with a hard plastic case that closes with Velcro. The straps are very long and can be cut and spliced individually. It fits very well, although my bent limbs have trouble returning. TL/DR: He does his job very well. It's the best thing you can do for a good bike in a city full of crazy porters.
