This filter works best in many formal and informal tests (0-60 times and MPG). Check YouTube. It's a little pricey but I consider it insurance and not a flip flop. Listen to your fellow mechanics: broken engines, turbines, etc. take $$$$$$ to fix. Tossed it in with an oil change - my gas mileage and overall performance seemed top notch. On a 100 mile trip, which I've done many times, I seemed to use very little gas despite holiday traffic and lots of stops and starts. This is independent of the data and of course fresh oil could have had a stronger effect (note: the old oil was not completely worn out). The filter itself bears a close resemblance to the factory original but feels very thick, durable and well made. , with many folds - at least as many as in the original. If you EVER have any wearing parts: turbocharger, supercharger, etc., clean air and clean oil are your new best friends as they cool your engine's wearing parts. Sports cars often have built-in fans that turn on after the engine is off to cool the turbochargers. Buy the BEST oil and air filters and change them AT LEAST as often as the manual says (mine says every 15,000 miles on the air filter) if you want to keep your engine running as long as possible. If you trade a year later, you probably don't care. My old air filter had 18,000 miles and was yellowing in several places. Note: The vehicle did NOT abandon the repair. Exchange code air filter.
