Review on 📷 Manfrotto Compact Ball Head 496: Fluid Camera Tripod Head for Precise Framing and Stabilization, Ideal Photography Equipment by Geoff Cooper

I first bought a Manfrotto 490 center ballhead because I thought the smaller size and one-handed operation would go well with my Feisol tabletop tripod. but the handle of the Mnafrotto 490 was wing-shaped, not round; it touched the top of the legs, making panning or any adjustment impossible. Also, it was difficult to use the 490 with 200PL; I think even with a monopod this could be an issue. (The 200PL is a quick release base plate that I've been using for all my cameras/lenses for over 15 years.) This new 496 works well with it on my 290 tripod and surprisingly well on my Feisol tabletop tripod for my Nikon D800e/D810. (The 496 medium ball head is $40 less than the recommended Feisol head).
