I have four. I bought my first one 15 years ago and it's still like new. The next two came in the same order, and I immediately noticed the redesigned lock body and plastic cable end, rather than the metal end my old one had. The plastic tip dangles when the lock is screwed in. Not a total no deal, but annoying every time you try to pull the cable out of the lock case. On the second day of using the new locks, one of the plastic tips disappeared. Could not be found. Now the end of the cable is frayed and won't go through the lock. So I set up a refund/replacement with Revain. The replacement arrived quickly, but the return is via a UPS store 30 miles from an out-of-state city. At $0.50 per mile, there's no point going there to return a $20 item. So I have 4 of these, one works great but it's 15 years old. I have no confidence in the durability of the new locks and they are still a nuisance to use. So master! I know you save 10 cents for a lock with a plastic tipped instead of a metal tipped. You're lucky.
