I have been using the Ergotron system in my home office since 2009. The first set of mounts I bought, 2 monitor mounts and 2 keyboard mounts, held up very well, looked great and worked great. I had to buy another monitor arm because I was adding another system to my office setup and was a little surprised that Ergotron switched the finish to stainless steel. Steel finish, shiny and polished. This is an improvement over the latest version of their product, which is more akin to brushed aluminum. I like both, and while they don't look the same, I like the way this hand looks better. *If you're adding a matte finish to your existing Ergotron brackets and the look isn't to your liking, you might want to consider it and possibly buy a whole new kit - if you have the means. Ergotron has updated the cable management system - it's no longer a "snap" system, but a solid cover that attaches to the arm. It slips and pushes. It's a little tricky when you try it the first few times - once you get the hang of how it works it's pretty easy to add/remove cables. Installation is easy if you have the right tools, namely you need a DEEP WELL RATCHET to screw this thing to the wall. DO NOT try without the right tools or you will blow your mind, get frustrated and leave bad comments like I have seen others do. It's a beautiful system. The tilt works a bit differently than the previous version - more like a sliding system moving up and down a track - but I don't find it any better or worse than the previous version. I like this system. I don't think you can find a better consumer rating system. Good quality, functional and looks great.
