Review on Toyo Proxes T1-R 245/45 R18 96Y summer by Wiktor Lisowicz ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

215/40 R16 on the Peugeot 207 - great handling. Very fast tires. Turns at 80-100 km / h are perfectly clear. There is nothing to say about the city. Sometimes it becomes uncomfortable on its own, you think you overestimated the possibilities, but the car is still like on rails, it doesn’t even heel. Braking is extremely confident. Hydroplaning (in the rain on the Ring Road at 110-130 km / h) has never been noticed. Rut does not like, as well as bumps in the road. But it is understandable, with such a profile. Once I literally saved in a situation when I had to abruptly go to another lane at a speed of ~ 100 km / h, because. 15 meters in front of the car, a huge hole in the asphalt surfaced from the shadows. On some other rubber they would have taken off the road, or they would have wagged, but this one, in a sporty way, rearranged the car on neighboring rails (thank God they were free). Several times the rubber received very strong blows on the edges of the removed asphalt - one small hernia appeared on the front. But such blows would cripple any rubber. But the rails in the city had to be passed very slowly, because. wild hardness. But this is also purely due to the 40th profile, and cannot be considered a disadvantage. For the next summer season I bought again Toyo T1R, but already 205/55 R16. The roll has become a little more, but otherwise everything is just as confident, but softer on rails and bumps. In general, these tires in both sizes have already been rolled back for three seasons (more than 70 thousand km) - I am 100% satisfied. In terms of wear, there is a feeling that with normal everyday driving (city / cad), the kit will be enough for 100 thousand.

Pros
  • Tenacity, handling, braking on any pavement in any weather. Reliability of machine control in emergency situations.
Cons
  • Not for bumps and gravel. Noisy.
