Ejection problem

I am writing this because I was looking for this information a month after purchase when I could not eject the disc. First, this thing is fantastic at reading the most obscure, leftover CDs or DVDs you have around the house (or new ones, like the ones I copied from my vet's x-ray on our cat). I'm using this on a 2012 Mac Air so obviously I tend to hold on to my electronics for a while. One day I decided to go through the large rubber lined bin that held all my old CDs and found hundreds of discs with barely visible markings indicating their contents or badly scratched that probably should have been thrown away. But I bought this player and lo and behold - it reads them! I'm giving it five stars for that moment alone. Now for the tricky part: it doesn't like handing you back discs, and as others have said the USB is hardwired to the back of the player. So when you plug it into your computer, it will open if you're fast enough. Once you put the disc in, it's a different story. I pressed the eject button multiple times and ended up pressing the power button I think (it has a little indicator on it). But since the light only came on when I plugged it in, it probably wouldn't come on again. So I unplugged it and plugged it back into my laptop a couple of times to no avail. I eventually switched to USB on the other side of my computer, and before it gave me the cold shoulder, I plugged in the entire front panel and the tray popped out again and I was able to pull out my drive. All in all a fantastic little tool that I will continue to use, but at some point I really thought I had to go back to another, hopefully better, player that ejects discs correctly.
