Review on 🚧 Safety 1st Auto-Close Pressure-Mounted Magnetic Latch Gate: Ultimate Safety and Convenience by Teresa Brady

We bought and installed one of these goals and it was great. Pretty easy for us to install and very easy to open for adults but sturdy for kids. We bought a second gate for the base of our stairs and it had a problem with the locking mechanism. Unlike our first gates, the buttons didn't open as easily and were very difficult to open. It only got worse to the point where I can't open it at all, so I just step over it. My husband can open it, but with difficulty. Also note that a baseboard can ruin the installation in your room. We had a very thick base at the bottom of the stairs so the top of the gate needed an extension but the bottom didn't. The extension fits onto the gate in one piece from the bottom up so we weren't sure if we could install it at this point. My husband was able to take the extension apart and just put it on top instead of bottom, but then that messed up the bottom dimensions and it came very close to not fitting.
