Review on Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice Arctic 195/60 R15 88T winter by Janis Liekmanis ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I am not satisfied with the product, there are no positive qualities.

Due to the fact that the grooves are actually across the cover, there is no lateral support. At speeds over 40 km/h, on a turn, the car noticeably blows to the side. Today, while slowly driving on a snow slurry (about 1 cm) at a speed of 35 km per hour, on a perfectly flat road, the car was thrown to the side of the road. The reason is that it does not squeeze snow porridge through the tread grooves and “hydroplaning” has begun. The benefit is not thrown into the oncoming lane. It's a pity for the money - since the tires are new and I drove only 15 km on them. My opinion is that the positive reviews are all "custom-made". When I was choosing tires, I got a “prick” inside and I also thought: how does she keep on turning, what ? It was necessary to "turn on" the brain and guess for yourself that the tread pattern was unusable, but I relied on laudatory reviews. Henceforth me science. I added it after two winters of use: I drove about 5 thousand km on them - about 60% of the spikes fell out. The tire has cuts - stone chips have accumulated in them and cause a significant imbalance of the wheels. From balancing, you drive 50 km - the wheels start to "beat" again

Pros
  • Rows well forward on firm, level ground
Cons
  • If there is 10 mm of snow porridge on the asphalt, even on smooth asphalt, at a speed of over 40 km per hour, the car blows to the side.
