Works great. If you hate handling filter socks, then this is your solution. Honestly I'm lazy. I sometimes need more than a week between replacements. I don't have to put that nasty shit in the washing machine anymore. You can only buy filters in bulk. The price is extremely competitive in washable filter socks. When you factor in the bleaching and wear and tear of the washing machine, they almost pay for themselves. They are extremely durable and easy to replace. Of all the aquarium maintenance tasks, cleaning the filter element was my least favorite. This simplifies the rest of the maintenance.
