Review on ๐Ÿ”ช Mercer Culinary Millennia Black Handle 8-Inch Chef's Knife: Superior Performance and Unmatched Precision by Julie Burton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The only knife I have in terms of cutlery and knife accessories

Apart from the Victorinox paring knife and filleting knife, this is the ONLY knife I own. I've been using it almost every day for 2 months and only now it seems to be losing its sharpness. Since I mostly cook myself, I've already been through a lot! He survived pound for pound of potatoes, onions, garlic, a few acorn squashes and the butchering of a whole chicken. I'd say it's a smart investment for the price. One thing to note: I have small hands (glove size is small to medium) but this pen fits just right and I never felt like it was too big or bulky. Sharp enough to use thin paper to cut tomatoes right out of the box. I haven't done anything special about this blade other than the recommended hand wash, not soaked or dishwasher safe, and stored it on a magnetic stand and out of the drawer. As I said, 2 months of almost daily use without any honing or sharpening and it's only now starting to lose its sharpness. I plan to use this knife exclusively until "the wheels fall off" so I'll be sure to update my review.
