I finally lucked out and found a great pair of boots, thank you ebay for your generous return policy. I am 67 years old, 230lbs. and 5'9" tall. (Ok, I used to be 5'9" tall) I have a "mature foot" that requires more room in the forefoot area-not wide feet-not creature from the Black Lagoon wide. I am very picky about my shoe comfort, these boots have very comfortable arch support and superior ankle support which is very important to me. Sole material is pliable and adds to the comfort when walking. I normally wear a 10.5 Medium in N.B. shoes, I wear heavy Kirkland socks so I thought I'd go with a size 11.shoes fit perfect! Now my wife can quit giving me a bad time for ordering and returning boots. When size 11 in Black become available I will order a backup pair to stash away for the future. My 100lb. German Shepherd and I can now resume our daily walk on concrete and trials.
