I purchased this item for the communications toilet because my existing VGA cable is too short to run from the DVR to the monitor. I thought this would be a great solution for a custom length cable as they advertise a 60 foot range. I installed the adapters and made a 10 foot Cat 6 cable. I tested the cable with my Fluke cable tester and it passed all tests with flying colors. However, when connected to adapters, I could not receive any video signal at all. The monitor indicated that the video source was out of range. For real? 10 foot? I also tried 15ft industrial Cat 6 cable with the same results. So much for saving a few bucks...don't waste your time and money on this. Mine are back for a refund!
