Review on Edelbrock 7102 CAMSHAFT KIT by Christopher Yap

I hate this bad review but I want to share it with those who have doubts about what to buy. Revain/seller/delivery is not an issue here. It was all great. The problem lies with the Edelbrock product. I read some bad reviews somewhere about this Performer RPM cam and lifter set but bought it anyway. Everything has at least 1 bad rating, which makes it difficult to buy. Anyway, it's Edelbrock! What can go wrong?! I will tell you! Like the other review I read. At first I was disappointed. I didn't feel or hear the advertised 420 hp from my rebuilt 355 with Edelbrock E-210 heads and a Performer RPM intake manifold. Second, after properly running in the cam/motor with cam lubrication and oil running in, the cam rounded 2 tabs and approximately 4 followers were damaged. 1 elevator really fell apart. The lift retaining clip has come loose and is no longer holding the lift together. In my experience these lifters seem like cheap crap. I can only speak from my own experience. I contacted Revain about this and they sent me a return label. Let's see how it goes. I have now bought a Mutha Thumpr Comp Cam and Lift Kit. Feeling and sound are worlds. The camera is much better. The jacks have a strong snap ring closure instead of a cheap metal Edelbrock pressure clamp. Anyway, I hope this is helpful to someone. Thanks
