I think it should be more in the $10-$12 range but you pay for kitty, I think. My daughter loves it and that's what counts. It's not easy to program or use, the instructions didn't help my 7 year old daughter so I helped her and set it up but when she unplugged it to move it everything had to be reset even with the batteries. in. Not exactly sure what the batteries are for. For now it works, the radio works and I have to reset it too often for an adult to set an alarm for a kid who doesn't even use it but thinks it's cool.
