I've been driving the Fizik Aliante Gamma for many years now, my current one has almost 20,000 miles on it. This saddle is the "Original" Aliante, newer versions (R1, R3, R5) have a slightly different shape and significantly less padding. I tried R1 and R3, they are more expensive and lighter, but this saddle is more comfortable for me. Comfort beats weight every time. The only way to be sure a saddle is right for you is to ride it. This saddle has a well-deserved reputation for comfort and durability, so it's definitely worth a try if you're shopping for a new saddle. Mine is still in great shape, there are no cuts or tears on the cover and replaceable plastic pads on the sides prevent chafing when you lean the bike against a wall or bar. I actually bought a spare Aliante Gamma saddle in case Fizik decides to discontinue that model. I want Fizik to make this saddle all black. The black and white color scheme is pretty lame, and the white on the bike saddle is just silly as it turns off-white pretty quickly.
