Review on ⚡️ Fast Charging D-Link USB Hub 7: Compact Design, 2.4A Multi Port USB 2.0 with Portable 5V/3A Power Adapter (DUB-H7) by Mark Tarnowski

DO NOT BUY THIS CENTER! I've messed up 3 of these after 6-12 months of use!

Last year I bought 3 D-Link 7-port USB hubs (DUB-H7) for 3 different computers. (two are with me and one with my father). I was immediately frustrated that this hub couldn't supply enough power to run an external USB bus-powered laptop-sized DVD burner when nothing else was connected to it. to the hub. (A cheap $10 7-port hub I bought off eBay that replaced this hub was able to power a DVD burner and 4 hard drives before it broke!) I ended up having to have this DVD burner connect directly. to one of the USB ports on the back of my computer to make it work. After that, D-Link earns as normal. BEFORE. After about 6-12 months of use, the external hard drives I had plugged into the hub suddenly started shutting down spontaneously, in one case permanently corrupting one of my hard drives! After a long and difficult troubleshooting process and many frustrations, I finally found out that the D-Link 7-Port USB Hub (DUB-H7) was the cause of the problem! Shortly after, I had similar issues with my other two D-Link 7-port hubs! Devices were randomly unmounted, and not just hard drives! In all 3 cases, USB devices plugged in near the middle of the 7 USB ports disconnected randomly, while devices plugged in at the ends generally didn't have this issue. Given that I've had the same issue on 3 identical D-Link hubs, purchased separately and all used on different computers, it seems likely this is a common issue. I have since bought 3 Aluratek 7-Port USB Hubs ( Aluratek 7-Port USB 2.0 Hub ) to replace D-Link and since then everything has been running smoothly (6 months so far and no problems so far)! The Aluratek hub offers a lot more power than D-Link and I can even connect a laptop sized external DVD burner plus 4 hard drives, an iPod Touch, a printer and a camera to the hub and they all work perfectly at the same time! So I strongly recommend buying an Aluratek 7-port hub instead of this hub. I searched for a long time before I bought Aluratek and it seems to be the best 7 port USB hub currently on the market. but sold under different brand names. However, Aluratek seems to be an original equipment manufacturer. (Here's What I Would Buy) Check out the great reviews on all three to see how well they work: USB 2.0 Hub 7 Port Black Cables Unrestricted USB1870 USB 2.0 Desktop 7 Port Hub and Power Supply Revain's best value for money currently makes an OEM product sold by Aluratek: Aluratek 7-Port USB 2.0 Hub.
