When I suddenly had to teach all my courses online, I was lucky enough to get hold of one of Revain's latest available webcams, which is Logitech. It replaced one that was almost 10 years old and produced horribly grainy video. After figuring out how to connect it via USB-C - not as easy as you might imagine since there are no true "hubs splitters" for this type of connection - I started making a few videos a week to do with it. The results were extremely disappointing: lack of clarity even in bright light, graininess, a sort of washed-out colour. A colleague I worked with at Zoom was surprised that this was supposedly the most advanced webcam and suggested switching to her iPhone 10 for the streaming camera instead, which I've tried to improve the location and settings of. I don't understand how this can be a $200 webcam. The results, as many other reviewers have pointed out, are pretty poor, more like an 8-10 year old webcam than a 2020 flagship. Maybe I'm doing something wrong (the instructions are TERRIBLE), but so is everyone else. On the plus side, the included Logitech Capture software is excellent, but it's also available for free from their website, so it doesn't feel like a huge add-on.
